2 Things-
One of my guys Aquired an Aluminum boat - Real good shape for its age. It's a Something or Other STAR.
He doesnt have a title or Reg. for it. It does have the old Reg. # on the side of the boat. It's Reg in PA.
He wants to sell it for $100 bucks.
So... The question is... How does he get the title to this boat so he can sell it?
Or does anyone want to buy this thing for 100 bucks and handle the paperwork?
If he can't get title to it... I think he is just going to cut it up and bring it to the scrap yard. He only bought it for the O/B motor that was hanging off the back.

RL Need to do a title search to find out who last person name was on it and if it was stolen or a clear tittle . then a bill of sale from that last owner to him and must be notarized, then you should be legal . I have never had to do it but think thats how it must happen in Delaware.

If it's really old and doesn't have the numbers cast into the transom he might look into getting it titled as a homebuilt boat. But if it's just an old riveted tin boat it may cost more to get the paperwork than it's worth. Especially when you consider what scrap is bringing. I have a 24 ' aluminum 'toon with a title that I'm thinking of scrapping. It seems it's worth more as scrap aluminum than as a boat.

Hey EZ? Still have that boat? If so what size and type is it? I may be interested in it for just a pond boat w/ no motor. Therefore I don't need a title/registration.

JD-
She's still at my warehouse- Come and get her.
It's not a row boat - It has a windshield and an area for the motor. Kenny put down a new floor.
It's Ugly but, not a bad boat. She floats. I'm going to guess and say she is 18'
I'm going into work today - I'll try and remember to snap a picture and post for you.
The boat is sitting on a trailer that is rotted. I have a Forklift that can load it up on the back of a trailer, flatbed or maybe another boat trailer.

Ryan. someone here just acquired an old 65hp merc. He might be interested if the boat is still available. I'll show him the actual pics when you post them.

I'll tell him about it. If it's no trouble, could you post a pic of it. Do you think that merc would be ok, or would it be too big or small for it? I don't know how long the shaft is. In fact I wouldn't even know how to measure it if I looked at it. Can you tell I'm kinda partial to inboards & oil burners? lol It sounds like it would be a great little beater to take striper fishing on the Susky flats.
