Harbor Tackle Fishing Report July 10, 2007
Slow is still the word. In the suds there are a variety of fish being caught. Some of the types of fish that have been taken are some sand bar sharks, spot, croaker, kingfish, white perch and blues. A few spot and croakers have started to show in the bay along with flounder. My customers are telling me that for every 20 to 30 flounders caught maybe 1 is a keeper. Nice sheepshead are in Inlet with tog, stripers and snapper blues. Jeff Schmidt of Berlin, Maryland took a 3.99 lb tog at an ocean reef with clam while fishing on the Ocean Princess. Philip Aldinger of Randallstown, Maryland hooked a 2.785 lb flounder with a squid and minnow combo. Devon Fernandez from Centerville, Virginia caught a 2.1 and a 2.5 bluefish at the Ocean City Inlet using lures.
Harbor Tackle has fresh bunker, live eels, live minnows, live peelers, and 2 sizes of live black saltys.
