Harbor Tackle Fishing Report September 17, 2007
There are still spots open for the 6th Annual Red Drum Tournament. You may register up until Thursday at 7 PM. Looking forward to seeing a show of red drum this weekend as a few were caught this past weekend.
Another customer of mine, Don Norcross caught a 44 inch red drum last Saturday. He was using a kingfish rig with a piece of fresh finger mullet. Don thought he had a shark hooked, but when he saw the fish in the wash he knew he had a red drum. The fish straighten the small hook out. Already reported was the first Harbor Tackle reported red drum was on Saturday by Kevin Quinn from Warminster, Pa. He caught his 40 inch red drum about 8 AM. He was using fresh spot for bait. In the surf are blues, flounder, croaker, kingfish, and sharks. Devon Fernandez caught a 24 ¼ inch flounder in the Inlet. John Cacchio hooked up with a 27 inch and 24 inch flounder using Black Saltys. Pat Connolly picked up a 22 inch gray trout at the Inlet using grubs. A few black drum have been taken from the back bay behind Assateague. Emily Campanaris hooked up with a 25 ½ inch flounder over an artificial wreck. Harbor Tackle receives fresh bunker, fresh spot, and fresh mullet daily.
Harbor Tackle has fresh bunker, fresh spot, fresh mullet, live eels, live minnows, live peelers, and 2 sizes of live black saltys.
