Harbor Tackle Fishing Report May 1, 2008
Here we are – it is the first of May already. The surf is producing a little better; however, not many stripers being reported. A few kingfish, black drum, 20 inch plus bluefish, a 22 inch flounder, smooth dogfish, spiny dogfish, and let’s not forget skates from the suds. Flounder are showing up in the back bays in the usual places and tog are coming from 2nd & 4th Streets. At the Rt. 50 Bridge larger stripers are starting to arrive. Harbor Tackle has fresh bunker, live eels, live minnows, live green crabs, and live black saltys.

Harbor Tackle Fishing Report, May 2, 2008
I have heard a few stories about the big stripers in the Chesapeake Bay. A boat captain from that area said there are plenty of big ones in the upper bay, but by next week they should have moved to the lower bay. Should be soon for us at the beach. The Rt. 50 Bridge and Indian River are producing some legal stripers at night. The sea bass are starting up and the tog fishing is great over the wrecks.
I’ve been promised peelers for tomorrow and I have plenty of fresh bunker and live chowder clams.
