I have a 20 ft DC on a trailer. I had a guy scrape the bottom paint/fouling paint that was flaking and rubbing off last year when i bought it. Now there is what appears to be a "no sand primer" on top of the gel coat. I am not keeping the boat in a slip but will be trailering to and from mostly salt water. A.) Can i use it as is without hurting the boat? B.) Is there anything that will take that primer off without hurting the gel coat underneath? I'd like to get it back to as close to original look as possible without bottom paint. Can i get the primer off and re-gel coat somehow? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
