ok,i want to hook up a 2nd battery in my boat. how is the best way to do this,hook to exsiting battery or run separate cables to the battery switch that i have....... also i lost my acc, switch and have not found the problem as of yet,i think it may be a blown fuse or switch itself how is the best way to stop this from happening......

The only way to do it is to hook to a switch and run seperate cables to the switch. grounds I belive tie to the other battery but the hot leads are broken by the switch.

Your acc should have an inline fuse at the battery, I had the same problem on my CC. Inline fuse at the battery was corroded, Bountyhunter is right on the money, both pos to the switch and connect both negs together. You should also take your acc and bilge pump from your battery and move it to the out post on the switch. This will allow them to work of either or both batteries.
