Does anyone know what if any effect putting STABIL or other fuel stabilizers in the tanks with the new ethanol gas will have? ?Or will it be the same ol thing?

Jd From what I have read - it will have the same effect.
I did hear (did not read it though) that Ethenol will create more water in your fuel tank if it is not ran often.
So, it would make more sense to me to use the Stabil in your fuel when using the mix.
We always put Bio-Bor in the tanks when we fuel up.

Thanks for the reply Ryan. I don't know what my compooter is doing with the double posts? It's definately on my end though? I figured that stabil couldn't hurt but ya never know with the new additives these days?

I did hear not to use water absorb in the fuel also most people are going to a good fuel/water separator even on small outboards

best thing to use for the ethanol gas to keep the water in solution and from dropping out and changing the gas structure is startron from starbrite. great report from boat us on how well it works on their site. you still need to add stabil to stabilize the gas for longer term storage.
