sandy or hard bottom is best. I like afternoon into night w/ the hardest running tide the best. 8 to 25' DE bay mostly, some guys anchor up down around asseteuge. Anchor Basicly the same a striper gear. I like shimano charter special Lever drags on relativly light live bait rods light chunk, along w/ throwing the clam shells over. If no sharks around we will throw a chum pot out. fishfiner rigs on the bottom w/ 8/0 circle hooks & 50 lb flouro leaders

Its the new way the internet is going to be , no one is going to give much becuase of the freeloaders that give nothing back & take all they can from the 10% that can catch .
- Over a Wreck? - Day or Night? both but night becomes better as the water gets warmer - Depth of water shallow at the moment but again they will go deeper as temps rise - Where? DE Bay? Coral beds @ slaughter , Pin top , broadkill slough are to name a few of the popular spots. - Drift? - Anchor? - Tackle? Same as chunking for stripers. FF rig. - Chunk? Surfs clams & crabs - Chum? Surf Clams and thier shells - On the Bottom? its a must to be on the bottom - On the Top? nope

My personal favorite way to fish for drum is use light tackle with a 1/4 ounce bucktail and fish southeast of brandywine shoal late evening incoming tide. Yellow bucktail with a strip of squid bottom jigged at the end of incoming that's how I caught my only drum while trout fishing many moons ago and by luck it set a short lived 6 pound line class record

get some surf clams (chowders catch but inferior bait). Go to Coral Beds or slough NE of Brandywine Light. Anchor. Recent activity at Coral Beds in 10 to 15 feet. Just look for the fleet and/or cruise until you mark fish. 20 to 30# gear, fishfinder rigs, 5/0 to 7/0 hooks on 40-50# leader. Hold a rod a all times. The pick up is very light for a big fish. Give them the 3 to 5 count let the line come tight and start reeling. I would worry less about time of day than having moving water and try to fish full moon. Mostly like watching paint dry so bring preferred food and refreshment.
