We are looking into a new boat & may be purchasing a Parker with a Yamaha 4 stroke soon and I don't know anything about them . So my question is how are they as far as gas mileage , repairs and maintenance & break-ins compared to my older "2000" 2 stroker Johnson ?

Bob we are looking hard at the 2120 SC pilothouse , went down today to climb all over them all. I fell in love with the 29' sea swirl they have but at 140,000.00 I think I will hold off before getting that one lol.
Thanks Dave for the offer but we are going to get a sea trial on the Parker I hope. Anything special needed for them on a yearly routine ? How is it on gas ?

nothing special for mine as for gas i honstley dont know gph on it
i do know i can run from CCM to site 8 to brown shoal to site 7 plus run backs on drifts back to CCM and fuel gauge doesnt fall off full mark
usually go out every weekend (sat and sunday) and dont fill up for 5 weeks and gauge says i still have about 1/4 tank on what they claim to be a 85 gallon tank

Much better then my Johnson then, I burn a half tank on 2-3 outings and don't run quit as much as that. I have a 85 gal. tank on this one but will have a 100 on the next if we get it

I like to get a bigger boat but its just not in the cards with the truck I own. I'm only good for 6000 pounds so its the 2120 SC with some extras. Now I will have a a spot for the girls to hide and Goddess will not be as uncomfortable about running out front . Its almost a done deal, just need to take my present boat down for an estimate [ Wednesday] and we may order it as soon as this week if we get what we want for ours.

Yammies are great motors, my next one will be a yammie. Of course my 2 stroke johnson has to die first & I don't think it ever will.
And once again make sure you seatrial those parkers good, they will beat the piss out of you. You will stay very dry but be very sore.
Are you getting the open rear on the pilothouse or do you want the sauna version?

sauna version but we fish in the thingypit not from the helm so it won't be an issue & with all the windows that open as well it will be cool enough for the running But come striper season we will be toasty & dry. I'm looking into to air and heat as well. Thanks for your help

Good luck w/ it they are well built boats thats for sure, just not my cup of tea. (being young & stupid) Fishing in Dec & Jan will be very nice in that pilothouse.
Heat & Ac will require a generator & from what I remember about the 2120's there isn't room for one in there. But I havn't been on one made after probally 2003.

I have a small 2200 watt genny that would work . But we won't have to worry about that now , we had to walk on the deal. They want way to much for theirs and not enough for ours so shopping we go to other states looking for one.
