The one from NY looks like a Sharp boat Jeff.
I guess the Cat Hull would be great if you docked in Shallow water.
Do you really want an I/O v. O/B?

I prefer an o/b 4 stroke
looking to stay below $50.000 and under 5,500 pounds.

I like the fist one a lot better than parkers. That will be more of a displaicement hull as opposed to a planing hull. I am not too fond of the gas volvos though. It looks short to me also but I am 6'4 You may not have that problem.
As for the second one I am not a fan of cats but some are a lot better than others.
What is the third one?

I like the looks of that NY boat. Do they offer it with a straight inboard oil burner?

3rd one is an Skagit Orca built by C Dory Boats. Its built for the Washington State offshore waters and can run in 3-4 footers at 24 knots without pounding a bit they claim. Joc I'm not sure about that one being used ,but here is the site for new ones. Rosborough Boats pilothouseboats.net/ros.htmlJeff Jr : when you get my age and take the girls out in 3-5 footers and don't get flack , I'll give'em anything to keep doing it and now we are looking to head offshore so I'm liking the ideal of something to protect I disagree too lol. So you wouldn't want a ride out striper fishing in our new heated pilothouse when she comes in this fall, winter?

Just bustin' your stones, brother... I'd be glad to take a ride with ya anytime... I know you already have the GREAT ONE(matey), but if you need someone to ride along offshore and show you a coupla things let me know... I have everything you'll ever need plus 2 more truckloads of other crap... Plus, I'm big but I don't think i take up half a much room as that big goofy hat he wears...

I will be interested to learn all I can about offshore fishing , so I'll keep you in mind when & if we get a new boat. sounds like you and sr got it down with your recent report. I think Barry stole Brains hat for the trip , I remember seeing that before somewhere lol
