FYI:
7 days ago, I sent my new 4208 back to garmin for a broken power jack. They issued an RMA no questions asked, and today I recieved a package from them containg a BRAND NEW unit complete with spare cables, and antenna.
Hat's off!!!!

This is why I only buy Garim Gps units for my boats. They stand behind thier products and don't plays games or take forever to adress any problems that may happen

i got to say i had basically the same experience with northstar/navman a couple years ago. garmin is not the only company that knows how to service its customers.
