If you didn't read in my fishing post I have a crack in my transom about 18in long.It is not a stress crack it is a "dam deep crack".I am looking for some fiber guys to call and if this can be fixed properly.I know blackwatch has a strong haul."not sure why it is cracked though" but can it be put back to new.

Ian
Why don't you speak with Rob about leaving your boat at his place? Or can you pull the boat out at White House beach and park it at Full Tilt or Shorts?
Jimmys Marine is in NJ - thats a haul with an oversized boat. 1st State Fiberglass does great work but, is SLOW SLOW SLOW. You won't see her touched for prob. 6 months. Talk w/ Tommy. Maybe he can turn you on to someone.
I think you are screwed once you bring the boat back to PA. We are in Lancaster Co - There's not a whole lot of boating going on around here and the little that does go on... You're going to be dealing w/ 2 or 3 people at the most.
LMK if you need a hand.

The Too EZ has its own little problems. Not sure if you heard but, I lost a trans cable while I was pulling into the fuel dock on Sat. I had to shut the engine down and dock w/ 1 motor. Oliver and Tom did a quick fix to get her back into the slip.
Also, must have some clogged fuel filters. The good news is - we burned 125 gal. out of 170 in the tank. So, for the most part it's pretty fresh.
Cables need to be changed so, this will be done shortly.

Not quite sure what is going on yet kyle.I called the insurence company today and they said they might cover it if it turns out not to be faulty workmanship. What the hell did I pay 500 dollars for a surveyer to look at it for.I am not even sure why I pay insurence. And second why I didn't just say I backed it into the dock like most would have.I will let you know if I need a place thanks

Ian
I would not say anything about a faulty bracket.
You went Fishing You came back You noticed the bracket was broke. Not sure when it happened but, it is broke.
OR
You can tell them you are a dumb ass and hit the dock.

Ian might be able to help you with it if the insurance company will not fix it.

Wow that is some major damage , get her fixed before putting more stress on it there buddy. You would be surprised at what the Insurance companies will cover. My Ins. is for the biggest dummies it covers road ,water and mother nature troubles. I'm covered for about anything ,even tows back in or on the road. Good luck with it .

Ahh... Ian.
It doesn't look good But, it doesn't look that bad.
I know I'm gonna get a bunch of crap for saying this... But, if you are thinking about selling her - I'd just patch it up and dump it.
Probably the same thing the previous owner did.
When you got the boat surveyed did he check for moisture in the Transom?

Can't tell from the pic. Was the restoration done with paint ? or re-gelcoated ?
If I recall the BW's are not known for transom rot. There were some questions on TheHullTruth about wood in their stringers.
Have your ducks in a row if you go the Insurance Claim route.
