Albermarle 248 or 268, Pursuit OS255 or GW 258 to keep the wife & kids happy.
Regulator 26 or B&D 28 CC if you want to piss off the wife.

I love and am looking at the Parker Pilot house boat myself. Go with the deep V hull not the Mod Hull. Plenty of fishing room , with pilothouse comforts and galley and sleeps 4 I think.

My dad and I bought a new 1989 Shamrock 26 open and still have it for a reason. Been every where in it off shore even as far as the wilmington overnight. Very stable, great ride, easy to drive and trailerable, slow drift. They make a nice cuddy which might be good for the kids with still plenty of fishing room. I would say they burn 10-12 gal hr. maybe not a speed demon but will get you there and back. You can use it in very shallow water with the keel.

Excellent choice on the Shamrock! Good boats.
There is one for Sale right when you enter Anglers Marina on the Right side. It's a 27 - Nice looking boat. Tommy knows the guy and says he is real Anal w/ his stuff and for 35K it might be the right boat for You and the Wife (SWMBO = She Who Must Be Obeyed).

Dave-
Again, Shamrock is an awesome boat.
I will say this and I am certain Tom and Jim will agree with me - Stear CLEAR and FAR away from South Jersey Yacht Sales.
SERVICE SUCKS and there is NO SMILE During and After the Sale.
Unfortunately, the Shamrock at Anglers is listed w/ SJYS but, the good news is that boat has been owned by a person Tom knows.
You want a Cuddy or CC?
Blackfin also makes a 24 and 25' CC/Cuddy. Sweet boats as well.

MLady-
I'm just gonna say it... So, dont get mad at me.
I Don't like it.
It looks Very Tight. Extermely Tight.
The cabin looks nice but, the thingypit looks Tight. How much Sq. Ft is the thingypit?
I'll look on the Shamrock website. Is there a Shamrock dealer in DE?

Shamrocks look like nice boats. The one is Lewes is really good looking boat that I would love to take out for a ride. Definatly has potetial.
I would have to really seatrial the pilot house versions. I have driven every parker made multiple times & they will beat you death while cooking you at the same time in the pilothouse. Hopefully w/ the inboard that is smoothed out a lot.
