started my fuel tank project on my mako cc,will have some pics to post soon had to disconnect all wiring, steering, 4 batteries removed auto pilot... upgrading,all the nuts under the console what a pregnant dog,had some buddies come over on saturday and lifted the console forward,looks like a crabbing boat now,anyway still have to remove tank hatch and dig out all the foam and remove tank,I covered the boat last night,now its snowing,I wish I had a nice warm pole barn to work in

I'm assuming you did you homework on ClassicMako.
There is a guy on TheHullTruth, "RingLeader" that recently did a fuel tank on a 90'ish MAKO.
I'm sure he could help if you have any questions.
Nothing like an older MAKO !

the tank is 184gal,105" long,taking it to jersey next weekend to get a replacement fabricated at speedy tanks

The one I have is only 115 gallon. Do you know the cost yet. Wes had two tanks built in Tome River NJ. 55 & 57 gallon. Cost $1,300 total.

Phil was the tank leaking? Couldn't it be fixed? This is the first I seen pics of your boat it looks great.

thanks Glenn,the tank was not leaking but was nearing it's life expectancy,the mako tanks are mounted in foam and usually come in contact with moisture,the top of the tank had some deep corrosion areas,usually that means the bottom is worse, actually not the case with my boat but I figured what the hell its out ,I might as well replace it,it will be epoxy coated and coal tar epoxyed then remounted in the coffin...peace of mind really
